Kristin Kreuk Biography
Beyonce Knowles was born on September 4
Kristin Laura Kreuk was born on December 30, 1982 in Vancouver, Canada.
Kristin's father, Peter, is Dutch and her mother, Deanna Che, is Indonesian
Chinese.
In school, Kristin acted in several school plays, but mostly focused on her
schoolwork. One day a casting director faxed every high school in British
Columbia about a casting call for the CBC series "Edgemont". Kristin entered and
filled the final spot in the series' cast. Since "Edgemont" is filmed in
Vancouver, Kristin stayed at her parents' house as her star rose.
Not to be deterred by the pressures of success and hard work, Kristin attended
another audition for another television program: "Smallville", which details the
young life of Superman. Kristin was cast as Lana Lang, the gorgeous, popular
cheerleader-type girl.
Shooting two shows concurrently has left Kristin little time to pursue other
projects. She has had to postpone plans to study psychology and forensic science
at the university.
In 2001, Kristin Kreuk played the title role in a made-for-TV version of "Snow
White" and later appeared in films like "EuroTrip" (2004), "Legend of Earthsea"
(2004) and "Partition" (2006).
